Byron Donalds? No, Chip Roy (the guy who nominated him) voted for him yesterday.
And to @FlikTheBlue, yes Donalds was the one that took it from 19 to 20 (he voted for Jordan).

donalds is up to 3.
Donalds has 3 already up to Boebert
Unless Im mistaken, all of the mainstream/moderate/etc. Republicans have just been lockstep behind McCarthy in these votes thus far. Thr “go towards the center” option hasn’t materialized at all and this GOP caucus seems incapable of it to this point.
Yes, sorry, just looked that up. But hey (as Roy says), now there’s two black guys in the race!
4 for Donalds now
Four, now. McCarthy isn’t looking so jovial today.
Not surprising. For those wanting a scorecard, these were the 20 non-McCarthy votes last round:
Rep. Andy Biggs
Rep. Dan Bishop
Rep. Lauren Boebert
Rep. Josh Brecheen
Rep. Michael Cloud
Rep. Andrew Clyde
Rep. Eli Crane
Rep. Matt Gaetz
Rep. Bob Good
Rep. Paul Gosar
Rep. Andy Harris
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna
Rep. Mary Miller
Rep. Ralph Norman
Rep. Andy Ogles
Rep. Scott Perry
Rep. Matt Rosendale
Rep. Chip Roy
Rep. Keith Self
Rep. Byron Donalds
Lots of names in the B, C, and D group.
Pretty sure 351>218. Can any Republicans count?
All present may not have checked in electronically with their IDs.
Thank you! I was just getting ready to search that out!
Well that’s 5 for Donalds… unless someone changes their vote, McCarthy goes down again and we go to a 5th ballot.
Donalds is up to 6 now.
Yes, very handy. Thank you.
So far exactly the same non-McCarthy votes, just a different person getting the votes. (8 up to Donalds).
My guess is we have one round of voting with the exact same holdouts and then an adjournment for more arm-twisting/negotiating.
Apparently, Donalds just voted for himself.
He just voted for himself.
Let’s say someone like Dave Joyce is nominated next round. Do the Dems vote for him to deny McCarthy and those to the Right the Speakership. I mean Jefferies has no chance of winning so why not say WE chose the Speaker for you.
the republicans have the majority, it is up to them to get the speaker.
Lol, looks like Trump decided another embarrassing loss was in the cards, and he successfully went for it.
Because the current activity is embarrassing for the Republicans and suggests they are ununified and obstructive.
