OK, so no one likes cleaning the bathroom. But what chores do you have to do that you dislike for no good reason? Me, I don’t like to hang up clothes. I just hate getting hangers and putting the clothes on them, and hanging them up. I have no justification for this–it’s stupid to dislike hanging up clothes.
In no particular order:
Hanging up wet or dry clothes.
Dusting.
Sweeping and/or vacuuming.
Doing the dishes.
Putting clean dishes away.
Changing the litter tray.
Tidying up.
Ironing.
Lots of other stuff that I can’t remember because I probably never do it.
Washing the dishes. I can’t stand doing the dishes, even though we have a dish washing machine, and washing the pans and extras that don’t fit by hand is even worse
I know its food, and almost alwase food that we just ate 5 min ago for dinner but… bleeech. I just can’t stand it.
I hate cleaning the toilet, especially around the outside and the seat and the curvey sides. It’s a pain, and it just gets so gross. I want one of those toilets with the smooth sides on the outside.
I also hate dusting. You have to move everything and put it all back. And sometimes it seems like are you’re doing is stirring it up, rather than cleaning it up.
I don’t mind vacuuming, but I hate having to use the attachments. The vacuum always falls over (and hits me in the head), or the tube part isn’t long enough, or the whole damn piece falls off and I have to re-attach it.
I actually like washing the dishes - I don’t have a dishwasher, so I have to do it all by hand. I find it soothing.
I don’t mind folding clothes, either. I do it while I watch TV. It’s just a mindless activity.
I don’t mind cleaning the bathroom. But I hate feeding the cats. I don’t like touching the can. I hold my breath while I’m doing it. And even though I handle it carefully, I wash my hands thoroughly each time because the odor molecules likely touched me.
I really hate dusting. I don’t mind unloading or loading the dishwasher, doing dishes by hand, cleaning the litterboxes or picking up dog poo, but I really hate dusting. I think the reason I hate it so bad is we have so many books and knick-knacks that dusting is a major undertaking. My SO does laundry, and we trade off vacuuming and washing windows. The bathroom isn’t too bad, he usually does the toilet though.
Most of it. I really hate putting laundry away. I don’t mind putting clothes away when I’m at work, but I hate it when I’m at home. I really don’t know why.
I don’t dust. I just vacuum everything. We don’t own anything expensive, and most of our ‘dust’ is really cat hair.
Irrationally enough, I hate making my bed the most. By that I mean the making of a new bed; that whole straighten it up every day I don’t bother with because it doesn’t get too messed up as I sleep.
It’s irrational hatred because I like my bedding, I like the idea of making a nice new clean nest for myself. But I just can’t stand actually doing it. Maybe because it’s one of only a few chores I had to do growing up; it was always an amazing treat when Mom would make my bed for me (when I was sick, for example).
I live alone so I can ignore a lot of other chores; therefore I don’t hate them much.
Folding clothes. I’ll hang up almost everything to avoid folding them. The exception is towels. I enjoy folding towels. Something about the neat symmetry of it all.
I get out of making the bed by…not doing it. I mean, really, what’s the point if no one’s going to see it? Even when we have company all I do is toss the blankets and sheets across the top in a semi-neat fashion.
