Is that pronounced “Throatwarbler Mangrove”?
It is entirely due to the parent culture of these people. There is absolutely NOTHING in the All the Words, Vols. 1 or 2, which prescribes that this is the only humor that may be quoted. However, a culture which enables late nights watching PBS stoned in the 70s has only itself to blame when its young generation grows up to be avid quoters (and mis-quoters) of Monty Python.
And get some perspective, people! All this commentary is completely ignoring the very real and most pressing problem today: the larch.
I hadn’t hit the double digit ages in the seventies, but watched MP. There was no stoning going on. Just permission to stay up late (10:30p) during summer vacation.
I prefer pumpernickel, myself.
Yeah, but with inflation a 'nickel, pumper- or otherwise, doesn’t buy what it used to!

So abruptly he steps onto the network of vines covered with leaves concealing the cobra pit.

::Calls for GI Joe::
If anyone can stop Cobra, he can.
GI Joe is there!
Of course there was stoning going on! He said, “Jehovah!”
OOOOOOOH!! <throw throw throw>
Aaaah! He said it again!! <throw throw throw>
Never let it be said that humor, laughter, and a good dose of ridicule aren’t powerful forces in the fight against crackpot ideology.
So put down that pointy stick.
And the herring.
It wasn’t herring. It was a piece of halibut.
Now stop it, or you’ll just make things worse on yourself.
Then you never watched “Life of Brian.”
Halibut? Have you no sole? There’s a time and a plaice for everything, but posting that just for the halibut was surely beyond the pail. Cod will get you for that!
I waited til the seventies were over before there were any stonings in my MP.
Clam down Polycarp! You’ll overexert your heart mussels and I’ll have to call you a sturgeon. Take a minnow, sit down and listen to the raydio. Here’s a tuna you’ll like- Salmon Chanted Evening, and it’s Tommy Dorsal.
Oh no, not again… What is it with pittings degrading (or in this case, upgrading) into bad animal puns?
We don’t know any good animal puns?
That could explain it, yes.
Could be worse.
Could be raining.
