How are things going? (or MPSIMS at its finest)

Lsura - my tummy problems seem to be hormonal in nature, so yours might be as well.

Laundry

At 6am, just 4 hours after I went to sleep, I woke up and went down to do my laundry. Yep, I do laundry every other week at 6 am on a Saturday.

Questionnaire

Just some professor that is doing a research, and was willing to pay $15 to every student who answered. Needing money, I accepted. Good questionnaire, and got my money.

Buy underwear

And I wasted the money to buy some underwear.

I don’t want to drive either. Don’t have my license yet, just a permit. I’ve been putting this off since…well, last October.

My parents are remarkably annoyed now. Oh, well. They’re the ones who didn’t tell me I couldn’t drive without taking driver’s ed until after the registration was over.

Southern Illinois University sent me a random, anonymous survey about my experiences and opinions regarding drugs. Cool. I get to answer lots of invasive questions and give them information on people in another country… whole questions appear to have been cut out. I’m guessing they were too Americo-centric.

I, too, am procrastinating. I have a backlog of chemistry reports I need to do for uni, but of course I’m here instead.

I’m having ham and pineapple pizza right now, and it’s damn good. The store said it’d be delivered in 30 minutes, it arrived in about 10. Mmmmm… fresh pizza.

This was the phattest weekend!

Plenty of parties went down, and they were the fun kind where you don’t need to be fucked up six ways from Sunday to entertain yourself. I saw my first Rocky Horror Picture Show live, and wore the same clothes to the Halloween party.

IT’S OVER!!!

My second phys anthro midterm. I spent all week studying for and worrying about this thing. It was horrendous. The professor put a primate taxonomy chart in front of us and expected us to fill in the blanks and list something about each species. With Latin names. Did I mention this is an intro class?

BTW

Those last few days before the midterm, my brain completely fell apart. You can see it from my posts on Wednesday and Thursday. Some of them made no sense whatsoever. I posted stuff in threads that had nothing to do with the OP. No, I don’t want to cite. Please take my word for it.

Right now

I’m going to finish posting, wash all this freaking makeup off my face, and put on some pajamas.

Stuff I should get to doing

That English essay. The dishes. Maybe I’ll try to make pasta in the microwave again.

I did three hours work helping out a charity fundraising at the local mall today – did 6 hours more on Friday. I feel good that I’ve been able to help out.

Finished and presented a very long report to a committee yesterday – one more wall outta the way. Now I can concentrate on other stuff this week (got a community festival to help organise).

Spent four hours or so with two really wonderful people I’ve met only this year. They spoiled me rotten, we talked about local history, I watched a vid about a fantastic holiday they went on. Great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Today someone moved into the apartment upstairs from mine which has been vacant for over six months. Haven’t met my new neighbor yet.

I had three different things I bought online delivered in the mail today.

When I went to work today I found out that one of my co-workers who has been the bane of my existence for ten years decided to retire this week (three months ahead of schedule). When I announced this to everyone else, there was a standing ovation.

I spent the day just hanging around the house, on and off the computer. It’s just me and Kid, the Younger. Kid, the Elder is at his friends and Mr zoogirl is at a party with his band. I took the kid out this evening to our local wave pool/water slide. Our church rents the whole thing so it was just people we know in there. Had a total blast! Bedtime!

Toolin’ around
I drove to an orchard out in the country in my brand new car (courtesy of a doof who thought red lights were optional) to buy a bushel of apples and some cider. Gonna make some apple jelly and butter for Christmas gifts.

A few laps
Apparently my kitty thought I wasn’t getting enough exercise so he led me on a merry chase through the neighbor’s hedges.

Mmmmm…
On a whim I whipped up some tostadas for dinner.
Little Nemo…
The bane of my work existence has sunk a taproot straight through to the earth’s core.

You want him?

My elbow hurts.

Work has blown to hell and gone. Been pulling 14 hour days every day and I’m so tired. Things should ease up soon though.

Went to a Halloween party last night. It was great to just have some fun. I went as a biker: black leathers, boots, the whole enchilada. I almost froze though. It was outside and even with a bonfire and heavy clothes it was cold.

Slept a few hours when I got back home and warmed up. Woke up again about 3 a.m.–stress insomnia is back–so have been catching up on laundry in between noodling around on the Dope.

Laundry’s done and it’s just starting to get light outside. I’ll probably crawl back into bed and see if I can get a few more hours sleep. Drowsy Sunday mornings = bliss.

catnip’s wearing off…

my squeaky mouse toy is under the bureau, where i can’t reach :frowning:

the Big Girl is busy with “homework” so she can’t give me a tummy rub

the Little Boy was away all day at a friend’s house, and couldn’t give me a tummy rub either

fresh laundry is NOT a place to sleep (learnt that the hard way today, courtesy of the Big Mom)

mundane enough?

Bargain Hunting
Since I last needed warm clothes 8 or 9 months ago, I have lost 100 pounds and had a tummy tuck, changing my whole body shape. Needless to say, nothing fits. Hell, even some of my shoes fit differently. Because I need to buy everything, I have needed to find bargains. Some of my best have been a Jones New York silk/linen coat dress that was originally $149 for $22 and several Ann Taylor short skirts that were $60 for $16.

Getting ready to go see my sweetie
I am leaving for England in less than 2 weeks to go meet Rick’s family. Luckily for me, they seem as nice as he is, so I am not too worried…yet.

Yay!
I’ve finally got a job. Been out of work for over two months, and things were getting down to the wire. But it’s all looking up now.

Scary things I helped with a haunted house last night. We were crashed by some junior-high students who ran around screaming and tearing things down. One of them got hurt running into someone, and I spent much of the wee hours cleaning his blood off the floor.
It’s cold I laid on my comfy chair in the sunspot by the window and took a nice long nap.

Rerun When I woke up, I rolled over and took another nice long nap on the other side.

I am woman, hear me roar I grew up in a church that believes very strongly that women should not hold any position of leadership over men- not even teaching Sunday School to teenaged boys. I left, fed up, about a year ago. This morning, I was asked if I would serve as a deacon in my church. I’m sure the lady who asked me had no idea why the idea seemed so stunningly amazing.

Last night I watched my SO sing in a musical, and she was good. It was a rare chance for me, because although she has a decent voice she hardly ever sings when I’m around.

Oh, what a nice day!

We don’t do family outings much, mostly because of our bizarre work schedules. But today, we packed up the kids and went to a pumpkin patch. They have lots of stuff there for kids to do. There’s a big slide, a bunch of cool swings, a petting zoo, and a hayride to the actual pumpkin patch, where you can pick your own pumpkin. The kids had a blast. Not much for adults to actually do, but it was still a lot of fun watching the kids have such a great time.

Then we brought our pumpkins home, and they are now cleaned and carved. I haven’t done that in about 20 years, I think. I forgot how much fun it is! Now I’m toasting the seeds in the oven, something I’ve never done. It’ll be interesting.

This whole day was my husband’s idea, which leads me to…

I think my husband’s new anti-depressant is working!

He’s been taking Celexa for just over two weeks. I’ve noticed some small changes in his demeanor, but nothing dramatic (but hey, it’s only been two weeks). This idea about actualy going on a family outing would not have come out of his mouth before this medication. No way. He’d never have been motivated enough.

'm crossing my fingers now. Oh yeah.

After dropping my daughter off at school Friday I stopped at a couple of garage sales. I have been wanting an electric skillet but haven’t had the money lately since we have a new addition to the family. Anyway I found a perfectly good, used one for only a BUCK! What a deal. So the next garage sale I found a cool glass that had a wrestling character on it, The Junkyard Dog, for only .10 cents for my husband who is a huge wrestling fan. He, of course, loved it.

I have been beating myself up for the past week on whether or not to continue breast feeding my six week old daughter. She was born seven weeks early so I want to continue to give a good start but then again I’m not producing enough milk for just breast milk exclusively, she is also taking formula. Today I finally decided to stop pumping and feed her formula only. I feel bad but my milk supply is almost completely dried up and I have tried everything to increase it but nothing has worked. I just keep telling myself she is healthy and gaining weight and thats all that matters.

On that note I had my first alcoholic drink since December of last year and man is it good. Crown and coke, awwww yeah!

The first thing I did…
Aside from waking up, the first thing I did was clean up the bedroom. A client was coming over to work on some audio for a dance competition. She’s happy now, the cuts went together quite nicely.

Decided to sell my condo…
Seattle jobs look bleak. I think it’s time to move. Selling the condo. Had a long discussion with my ex about it, gave me some good ideas.

Fought with the video editor
Working on printing a digital video to tape. Damn thing kept cutting off the first second or two of each clip. Rerendering with additional blank space. Sucks, have 21 of these to go through.

Off to the show…
I’m the lighting tech for a show tonight. It’s a blast. Much nicer with 8 lights than 4.

Bye!

Yeah, It has several shorter versions of Bolero
on this disc
