I forgot to say, there are three 3 munutr versions of Bolero, and all of them have bad sound quality.
There is a 4:17, and a 5:56 version with good sound quality. There is also a 7:34 version with goos sound. The rest are 9 minutes or longer.

ARose is sick. -sniffle- I feel awful. -sniffle- Helpless!!
Sorry about all the spelling mistakes. I usually preview.
Made sex with Mr. Beckwall numerous times.
Pool weather - warm enough to swim for 30 minutes.
Went to see Zoolander. Laughed numerous times.
Watched the Big Unit shut down the Yankees.
Wondered if Randy Johnson’s wife will get the Big Unit later tonight.
Had an excellent turkey-bacon and tomato sandwich.
Set my alarm for early AM. Night night to you all.
I slept in, and when I woke up my wife was feeling better than she has the last couple of days- she had a myelogram done to find spurs in her spinal columen, which have been giving her much pain recently. They used a HUGE needle to inject the dye right into the middle of ther back, and she was out of it all day Friday and Saturday.
We stayed up until the time change playing our bi-weekly D&D game. The group had a good time fighting red dragons- they killed one and drove the other off, at the cost of one NPC (eaten.)
I watched football all day, and got depressed when there was no third game today because it was played on Thursday.
I hope the Steelers win, but I started Eddie George on my fantasy team, and he needs 70 yards or 10 yards and a TD for me to win.
Our three cats were happy to get some chicken for dinner, but I think we’re making a mistake feeding them at dinnertime- they may want it all the time. The boys promptly went into the kitchen to do their stalk-and-kill games while the baby curled up on my wife’s lap and went to sleep.
It was a relaxing day.
That’s ok, Mudshark - you found a song I’ve wanted a long time! I thought I was going to have to edit an original. ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou!
Junk Food Radio
I’ve been listening to internet radio recently. Normally I listen to off-beat stuff - mostly middle-eastern, with a little blues and early jazz. Today I was in the mood for comfort music, so I found a couple of 70s pop stations and I’ve been switching back and forth between them. This is the music of my childhood - it’s like having pork chops and macaroni and cheese for supper.
Oh, and almost no commercials. Definitely no car dealership commercials. Aw yeah.
Mr. Grace was out of town so I didn’t sleep very well at night. Yesterday afternoon I decided to relax and read a book. I feel asleep before finishing a chapter and slept all afternoon. I woke up four hours later in time for Mr. Grace to return.
We went to brunch this morning and I went against my usual routine and ordered off the menu. Mr. Grace was almost finished eating (from the buffet) when my food arrived. We decided that we didn’t like the waitress and hoped they wouldn’t sit us in her section anymore.
We went to local theater at the mall to see what was showing. Everything we wanted to see either already started or wasn’t showing yet. Nothing else sounded good so we went to Barnes and Noble and walked around looking at books. While we were at the mall, I picked up my wedding ring at the jewelry repair place. They fixed the prongs and cleaned it. It looks super shiny! When we got home I planned on doing laundry except we started fooling around and I feel asleep afterwards.
I just finished wathing UC: Undercover. Oded Fehr was looking hot as always. I think the show quite possibly has the worst dialogue ever, but I’ll continue to watch it as long as my dream man is on.
Hey, beegirl! We had our first snow here this week too (Thursday)! Didn’t stick, of course, and it’s been raining basically all day today (ick), but snow was nice.
This has been a nice weekend. Yesterday, we basically sat around all day (well, I did; Dr. LindyHopper took the dogs for a hike), then we went to Mongo’s (Mongolian grill; all-you-can-eat, make-your-own-recipe stir-fry) and saw “America’s Sweethearts” at the $1.50 theater. Cute movie. I’m not usually a Julia Roberts fan, but she was good in this, and I really like John Cusack. Christopher Walken as the Jim Jarmusch/Peter Bogdanovich director-type was hilarious.
Today, I went to agility class with our herder, Katie (generic herder cross: border collie/Australian shepherd/blue heeler), and it was really fun, despite the incessant nagging drizzle. She did great; it’s a course where the dog learns to work at a distance from you. She’s actually taken this course before, but we could always use a refresher (especially me). Then I had a good workout on the stationary bike, and watched the D-backs beat the Yankees (again). Coolness! Plus, fettucine with pork, walnuts, and pancetta for dinner. Yummers!
I was up early this morning. Obviously the combination of the time change and too much sleep prevented me from sleeping past the alarm and rushing all willy nilly for work. So now I have an hour to blow off until I leave for work (it’s really a half hour, but they expect me to arrive late and I’d hate to scare them by my early arrival).
Stayed up way past my bedtime (6:00AM).
Can’t Sleep.
Need Sleep.
Lotsa Sleep.
Suddenly, ‘Sleep’ doesn’t look like a real word anymore.
Suddenly, ‘Suddenly’ doesn’t look like a real word anymore.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…
I went to make some noodles so I could have leftover Stroganoff for lunch. When I dumped the noodles in the water, I saw a bug in the measuring cup. Then I took a good look at the bag of noodles and there were bugs all over the noodles. :shudder: I’m trying very hard to forget that I made noodles yesterday from this same bag.
Of all the things I cook, one of my wife’s faves is a pretty faithful version of Benihana’s fried rice. I make it fairly regularly along with a big batch of ginger sauce, also pretty close to Benihana’s, which she dumps all over the rice.
The last time I made the rice, I tried going for a triple batch. I also tried using a different type of rice. Big mistake. No matter what I did to it, the rice was crunchy. No way to rescue it. I felt like such a Famie. Much head hanging was done in shame.
Last night I finally gathered up enough courage to try again. Again went for a triple batch, but used my normal brand of rice. It worked. My self-confidence was restored and there was much rejoicing.
Sure, anything for another Bolero fan.
Chemistry:
Took my class with my friends, but unfortunately the PowerPoint projector was not working, so we had a low-tech lecture. Yuck!
English:
Had a quiz, and the rest of the class was about how to do HTML coding for an upcoming project. The catch? The program was not available for home us, so when I got home I had to download another one. Dopers, be aware of future questions regarding HTML in the coming weeks.
Lunch:
Since it was cold, I had some chili and nuggets and small coke from Wendy’s. Normally at this time(10:30am) I go back home, but since I had a speech lab at 3pm, I decided to stay and register and hang around campus.
Registered:
This was good. None of my classes were full, so I could make the program I wanted. What I don’t like is that they only count the labs as a 1 credit class. I mean…??? I am taking 7 classes(including labs), yet it appears as if I was only taking 5(16 credits). Also, when I later met my friends, it seems I was the only one to get early registration. It seems that because I took dual-enrollment, I can register earlier. I have no complains, of course
.
Speech Lab:
Weird because this was the first lab I had to go but didn’t have to talk. So it was just me hearing the speeches. At the end of the class, when we were all leaving the building, this guy and his friend were in front of me, and I was trying to pass by them. The guy recognized that, and said to his friend to let me pass. Strange thing, he said my name…correctly. This was someone I never talked to(well, the speeches, but other than that), and that made me sort of happy. I was so surprised I told him so, and he just smiled.
Damned Fire Alarm:
I was back at home, calmed and relaxed, when the fire alarm went off. I had to quickly put my jeans on and get out of the building, along with my roomates. Didn’t had time to put some shoes or get the keys(at least I left my room unlocked). Outside, it was about 60F, maybe lower. I was without jacket, shoes, and just some socks, my sleeping shirt, and some jeans. I was freezing(60F is actually too cold for me). It was at least a good bonding experience between the roomates. Finally they let us go into the building, after the firefighters arrived and said nothing was wrong. Some apartment must have burned or created smoke, and instead of quickly airing the rooms so that the smoke dissipated, they ignored it. Now, if the smoke comes out, it first triggers the apartment’s fire alarm. If nothing is done, then the whole building gets the alarm. I hope the students learn the lesson and next time try to quickly air the room.
Got home late, as usual. Mr zoogirl had a nice chicken dinner waiting for me. Kid, the Younger was feeling kinda lousy this morning and Kid,the Elder was so-so and always glad to miss school so they both stayed home. Mr zoogirl and I both had to work. At almost thirteen and fifteen they hardly need sitters anymore, but they had all the phone numbers anyway and Mr z and I both called them a couple of times. Either everyone is feeling better or they’d rather go to school sick than miss Halloween, but they both said they’re going to school tomorrow. I got two bookings at my telemarketing job this morning. That’s pretty average for a four hour shift. Friday I got four, and yesterday not a one. It’s all repeat customers-no cold calls. At the zoo this afternoon, I fed and watered all the Mammals, Amphibians, and Arachnids. Only cleaned one cage as I did a bunch yesterday. I’ve got to start training Champagne, the rat, so we can use her in presentations. If I can train a whole troupe of rats, I might start going along on birthday parties etc and doing a special segment of the presentation.
Good night!
I got a good sunburn Sunday, and this morning, that face in the mirror had a forehead like Warf. Now it’s peeling. At least I had sense enough to wear a cream colored shirt, so it doesn’t look like I have a really bad case of dandruff.
We got the loot from the bank, so it looks like the company will stay in business. That means I get a paycheck this week, and I won’t have to find a new job. Yeah! I like this job, and it’s the only best one I have.
Got some cools gifts for my B-day.
DaToad’s litte girl is off to war.
My Daughter’s ship left for the Persian Gulf Monday. I’m proud, but sad.
Finally got the auto-irrigation system in and working. The citrus crop will be good this year. Lots of ruby grapefruit, oranges, and tangelos. Yummmmmmmmmm.
Ain’t life grand?
My DSL line has failed again, making the third time in two months that it has failed. This is getting to be ridiculous; I think I’m going to have to threaten them.
I feel like an idiot
I got a ticket this afternoon. For an out-of-date inspection sticker AND license plate. I knew a month ago that they needed to be taken care of, and I still forgot.
Pop Splatter Oww
When I was making fried rice this evening, I got the oil a little too hot. When I put chopped garlic in the pan, it started popping like popcorn. One drop of oil hit my eyelid just above my eye - no visible damage, but it still hurts a tiny bit. I shudder to think what may have happened if it had hit my eye.
I forgot that today was Halloween. I feel so dumb.
I’m procrastinating on a horrible, boring assignment which I don’t get done soon will end up making my life very difficult.
Mr Primaflora just left for his audition to be allowed to do writing workshops in schools. Queensland has a weird system for this. I’m nervous as all hell because if he passes the audition, that’s gonna mean a lot of $ and if he doesn’t we will be very poor.
The 8 yo Primfloret just gave himself a haircut and it looks diabolical. Why, why, why? What possessed the lad?
It’s hot, very hot. Went swimming this morning but the pool is still fairly cold. Wish I had stayed on my diet this winter as would look much better if had actually lost weight :(.
