Living in the boonies my only somewhat high speed internet option is satellite internet. My particular package has a 300mb daily limit which we occasionally go over putting us into super slow mode. I would like to watch the Lost episodes on ABC.com but can’t find the size of a whole episode. I also can download unlimited amounts for a few hours in the middle of the night if there was a way to save them to file a file and watch later, but it seams you have to watch them as you download them. So is one episode going to use up all my 300 mb and is there a way to save them for watching later (2AM isn’t convenient for me)
I’m sure there’s a hack to save that streaming file, but I don’t know what it is. You can try the Orbit program (look on download.com), but I doubt that will work. IME, one hour of US commercial tv at about 42 minutes is about 350MB. If ABC is using a more clear codec, it could easily be more.
Sorry. Sorry you have such bummer service, too.
