Howdy! I lurked for about a year before putting out my $4.95 to subscribe. I found my way here from another board I used to belong to, where someone referenced Scylla’s infamous blimp thread. I was immediately overwhelmed and impressed with the obvious superior intellect and wit of the Straight Dope members, and I’ve been hooked ever since 
I’m 29, married with two kids, and I’m a student advisor at a University here in the live music capitol (or is it capital, I can never remember) of the world, Austin, Texas.

I’ve never lived in a Lincoln, or any other car… oops, you meant Lincoln, as in the English city (if you lived in the capital of Nebraska, you’d have even more of a long-distance relationship than you do now). I occupy an apartment in a three-unit building (formerly a single-family house) in scenic Tippecanoe County. I’m 45, and in a committed relationship, though I’ll be living alone for another few years until my sweetie’s kids have all graduated from high school and moved out of her home. For my first SDMB post, I just jumped in by contributing to a General Questions thread, so consider this my belated self-introduction.
Both. Although I may be moving there after I’ve finished university. But it’s on the condition that we leave as soon as he’s finished uni.
