I would like it explained as to why, if guns prevent crime, and it hasn’t been thwarted even though there are more guns than people in this country, having even more unfettered access to guns will?
But to answer your question, it is because there have not been any sort of effective gun control laws passed. Because of pressure of people like you, anyone at all can get any gun that they want. Most of us can get them legally, but getting them illegally is not all that hard.
The reason that they are so easy to get is because of loopholes that you make sure are in any gun control legislation.
You are a gun owner, a gun store owner, and a gun advocate. You are very knowledgeable about guns. If you had as an objective to reduce the number of guns in the hands of criminals, while infringing as little as possible on responsible gun owners, I’m sure you could find a way.
Instead, all you do is do your best to prevent anyone else from accomplishing that objective. It makes sense. If criminals have guns, then civilians need guns, and that’s good for business, isn’t it?
Someone can legitimately see Trump as a buffoon whose incompetence or ignorance has cost America many allies, caused countless Covid deaths, destroyed America’s image, led to a great deal of corruption…while at the same time being alarmed at the behavior of Antifa, the riots, cancel culture, and other such things as well.
{bolding mine}
Antifa, cancel culture are both right-wing conjured boogeymen. The riots have started and continued under Trump, are hardly widespread, and have very reasonably arguably been made much worse by Trump and Trumpian tactics.
Distrust Biden based on what? You may not agree with many of his policies, but I have not seen any evidence that Joe Biden is particularly untrustworthy or mentally imbalanced. OTOH, we knew what Trump was all about decades before he ever mentioned running for president.
As an independent, that’s what I don’t understand. I see all these conservatives who go on and on about how corrupt, evil, or unethical Democrats like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and so on are. I don’t see it. I didn’t think there was anything particularly wrong with John McCaine or Mitt Romney. Sarah Palin OTOH, very much appeared to be a moron.
Well that’s one. But the study claims there are 117 yet doesn’t provide any of the names or details. Could it be that they know that if people looked at those individually they would see that very few have a political motive? The ADL published a list like that recently and it turned out that many were driven by family conflicts and other non-political motives.
But that’s EXACTLY what your little vote will be doing.
By the time the Repubs are done, the ENTIRE Bill of Rights will be totally evisecerated. Oh, the 2nd Amendment will still be there, you say? By then it will simply be a decoration, a series of meaningless phrases, without the other rights to back it up.
This analysis makes several arguments. First, far-right terrorism has significantly outpaced terrorism from other types of perpetrators, including from far-left networks and individuals inspired by the Islamic State and al-Qaeda. Right-wing attacks and plots account for the majority of all terrorist incidents in the United States since 1994, and the total number of right-wing attacks and plots has grown significantly during the past six years. Right-wing extremists perpetrated two thirds of the attacks and plots in the United States in 2019 and over 90 percent between January 1 and May 8, 2020. Second, terrorism in the United States will likely increase over the next year in response to several factors. One of the most concerning is the 2020 U.S. presidential election, before and after which extremists may resort to violence, depending on the outcome of the election.
The ADL calls it, “25 years of A Dark and Constant Rage”:
The above study lists names and dates of incidents, since you asked.
Are you sure you picked the right correct hill for this fight?
GREELEY, COLORADO, AUGUST 16, 2017.
