How can I clean a mini propane grill (a Kegecue, to be specific)

I used it twice, and then put it in the garage to await football season. I went in there for something else, picked it up, and saw some brownish fluid seeping out of the airholes when I tipped it a bit. Ewww.

As I said, it’s a propane grill, with the propane coming from little holes along a roughly foot-long metal tube at the bottom.

Can I simply hose the entire thing off? Or will that harm the grill? There are no woodchips or briquets or anything, and unfortunately I don’t have the manual anymore. Anyone who has one that can tell me the best way to clean it? I guess the basic question is just “can you clean a propane grill with soap and water, and if not how do you clean it?” Thanks in advance!

Why don’t you get it hot and wipe the grease out with paper towels? While its still hot scrup the grid down with a ball of aluminum foil.

Just wash the grill.

1)Use a good wire brush, detergent and some hot water.

2)Sprayon oven cleaner works a treat, follow the instructions. BUT RINSE THOUGHERLY!!

3)Or just scrape off most of the muck and justify that the heat would kill anything left… :dubious:
