How can I clear the suggested log in names in Firefox?

I’ve got some micro-keyboard on my netbook and it’s pretty damn difficult to type accurately. So, I’ve actually got weird login-parts of password suggested sign ins that I very much want to get rid of. Is this an OS thing or a cookies thing? I don’t mind the suggested log in name, but I just want to clear out all the suggested names for a login name at particular sites.

I also suspect that my touch pad is overly sensitive to the occasional bruch of body protuberance and causes some weirdo random space vectorization of the cursor. I guess I should just choose plain vanilla touchpad response, but I do like some of the functionality.

In any case, how do I clear out the suggested list of login names at a particular web site.

You just press the down arrow with the cursor in the field, select the offending entries and press delete.

To disable the behaviour altogether, there’s an option under settings > privacy.

Thanks, those were the answers I was looking for. Works great.
