My guy LOATHES the new calendar entirely and can’t read it for crap. anyone know of a 3rd party app that looks like the old calendar? I’ve tried a couple that weren’t great/still hard to read/too small.
It sad but Apple is taking path of windows . It called flat OS the lack of contrast . It fad now . Give it time and 3D OS with contrast and depth will make a come back.
Apple like Microsoft is not one that gives user control how OS looks. It like it or leave it
It sad but it looks like Linux is way for me for time being.Or you can stick with old OS . But has of now the fad*** is flat OS look*** . Well I like OS that contrast and 3D look.
? I read that message above in the voice of Captin Caveman
I completely agree and I have been on the phone with apple all night about it! It says I have 43 unread texts in a nice brilliant red bubble that honestly I have No unread texts!
So where is this fictitious number coming from! I don’t have that many going back at al! This is so frustrating! I sent a text toy girlfriend today and in the middle of it slides a partial email I sent to a separate “email” into my text message box! Aside from the refit of this crappy ios7 I wished I could turn back time because there is no way to get the old version back
By the way this is the first time I have ever been in this site so if I’m doing it wrong, my apologies!
It is Fad . To me flat OS is almost like Monochrome monitor or moving in that direction .The fact is the human eye the world we see color or even color blindness ( cat or dog seeing only in black ,white and gray ) has contrast and depth . So it looks strange if TV or computer or any thing does not have contrast and depth.
Off the issue, but both cats and dogs have color vision, just not like people. Cats have color vision in which in humans would be a type of color blindness: Feline Vision
Dogs have two types of cones and see colors differently: Can Dogs See Colors? | Psychology Today
I had the email notifications thing occasionally in iOS6, had something to do with performing a search which loaded old unread emails. It normally went away after a little while, though, is it still persisting?
After upgrading to iOS 7, I had the same problem again. Was too impatient (and only had a few hundred unread) so I went in and sorted that out.
I kinda preferred the old skeumorphic look, but it went too far at times. Green felt? A reel-to-reel on the podcast app that took up half the screen and did nothing? On the other hand, totally flat… eh. Lacks some of the charm, and makes stuff a bit more “indistinct”.
I really like the swipe from edge to go back and forward, though, and the new way to dealing with tabs, and the control centre. So it’s not all bad for me, and I’m getting used to the flatness of it all. One downside to the swipe from edge thing is that some apps (Flipboard in particular) had swipe from *centre *as the go back gesture, and so now it’s swipe from edge in safari and twitter, swipe from centre for Flipboard. Which is somewhat annoying, but I can deal.
