It is extremely annoying when I open up a program and the size and the location of the window are not consistent. I may need a document open on the side to work with another document I already have open, but NO, you have to sit in the middle of the screen 2x larger than you need to be and force me to resize and move you, mister application window…
is there any way to fix this behavior?
Generally, that functionality has to be put in by the programmer of the application. It isn’t something for which the Windows operating system (or Windows Explorer desktop) is responsible.
It is certainly possible that there is a 3rd-party program that runs as a service that monitors applications that are started, remembers their size/position, and puts them where you want them to be, but I don’t know of any off the top of my head.
