How can I mount delicate items in a shadow box?

I have a pair of beaded ~70 year old gauntlet gloves, too fragile to wear anymore, so I would like to display them in a shadowbox and hang them on the wall. Is there a way to adhere the gloves to the inside of the box so it won’t damage the leather? If so, how, and if not, what is the least damaging way to do it?

Glass or plastic panes back and front?

My sister used dress-maker’s pins at the shoulder/sleeve points of our father’s Christening Gown. I suppose a real conservator would cringe at that, but my sister generally opts for the quick and dirty approach. For gloves, I would look into finding a hand mannequin like the department stores use, then attaching that to the base of the box, instead of the back.
