I hate “send to.” Whenever I need to right click on something and quickly scroll down the menu of options, it ALWAYS hangs on “send to” for a couple seconds. I don’t think I’ve ever used “send to” in an entire life of computer use.
I have no idea how to help you, but I just wanted to say I thought I was the only person who was annoyed to all fuck by that send to thing. I’m glad I’m not alone.
It’s in Firefox, too. I just love it when I want to “Save Image as …” and I accidently land on “Send Image …” (and usually not the kind of image I intend to send to anybody ) and my e-mail client launches. Grrr. You’d think that Firefox at least would have an extension out there someplace to disable it.
Thankfully, Apple’s Safari browser dispenses with that annoyance.
They do, or you could tweak the userChrome.css, all here.
CMC fnord!
I know you can add or delete the shortcuts to the Windows “Send To” menu (ya don’t really need “Send To Toys”) it’s just a folder in the “Documents and Settings” folder,
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type sendto, and then click OK.
add and delete what ya want to, I think there’s a way to recreate the “Desktop (create shortcut)” delete that at your own risk!
I’m betting that deleting it completely is like deleting the “My Documents” folder, it will come back after a restart, it probably requires a registry hack.
