When I use Google maps for directions, I’d like to have the starting address default to my home address rather than typing it in every time. Is there a way to do this?
How to update your home and work settings
For me these always show up as “home” and “work” in location selection dialog.
I think it will always default to your current location. But “Home” is always the first button available just below, it’s one button press. If you are “typing it in” it sounds like you don’t have your home address set up on the Home button?
From the maps home page, click on “search here”, then “Home” and “Work” buttons are just below, you can enter your addresses there and then they will always be instantly available.
I can’t remember ever manually typing in my home address, Google did that all by itself. They of course know my home address from the pattern in which I move.
Yes it’s only one button press, but still it would be nice to have a confit setting to always default to that when looking up a destination address.
