Gee, I seem to remember some people fussing at witnessing types because they never produced any evidence. The problem with these programs, on the other hand, is that they leave nothing to faith.
I don’t get it!

Easy, Poly: Christians are supposed to believe on the basis of faith because Jesus told them to, but if they insist that non-Christians should agree with them then they have to provide evidence.
Kimstu, it was a good-natured gotcha! at slythe, who used to rant about the lack of evidence for what Christians claimed and the idea of taking something as serious as this on “blind faith” (I know I’m not quoting him right, but you get the picture) vs. his comments on “Touched by an Angel” above.
Actually, I think the entire question is begged a bit. As Satan once pointed out, against a certain mindset of certitude, nothing is proof. The hyperskeptic straw man I once invented would not be convinced by Tess and her gang, though most of the regular skeptics here would allow that there is some reasonable grounds for thinking that that there glowing woman is probably what she claims to be.
And most of the miracles in my life have been jury-rigged baling-twine interventions to get one – barely – past the bad spots and allow human compassion to finish the intervention.
Isn’t that being ressurected this season on FOX as “When Christians Attack?”

Hastur, you didn’t quote the entire title. It should read:
When Christians Attack; The Fred Phelps Story
Sorry, I couldn’t resist!
I don’t know of the show you mentioned. When does it start? If it is for real, count me in as a viewer.
Especially if its nude!
Fantastic.
