How common is female nipple hair?

Hey, despite the somewhat silly OP (I dont know how to exactly describe it), I am glad of the answers given.

As a woman, I didn’t have anyone to compare, so I didn’t know if that was normal or not. Glad to know it is normal (nobody had complained, though). But I do pluck when I notice them.

I like how so many people are answering him so respectfully, whereas I’m all LISTEN! DON’T LOOK TO PORN FOR WHAT REAL WOMEN ARE LIKE!

Pretty much every dark haired woman whose breasts I’ve seen close up in person (more than 10, fewer than 30) had at least a half-dozen visible hairs.

Well, porn was all he had as a comparison. I generally am pro porn, but I do worry about the generation of kids that have easy access to so much so soon, and their unrealistic expectations. I use to think that meant that they would think that all women were skinny big boobed bimbos, which is silly since they see it is not true every day. I think the real danger is all the little things they are going to get wrong. Nipple hair being one of them.

Wait you mean that most women do not like being spanked, getting cum on their faces, giving gratuitous blow jobs and having sex in the park?

That explains my dismal relationship history.

:D:D:D

Well not all of them in my case but quite a few. But usually not many hairs.

One second… BRB… Honey! Come here for a second, please…

No kidding. This place. It’s almost not a complete thread without a nitpick, tangent, and a hijack.

I’m imagining you referring to a little notebook in order to answer JC’s question.

Had to throw out the notebook when I got married.

From the quote about not plucking with force because they will grow back thicker and darker…that seems like the misinformation like shaving makes your leg hair grow back thicker. Plucking one hair from one follicle probably means one similar hair will grow back from that follicle. Why would it be any thicker or darker??

I occasionally have one or two errant hairs on a nipple but not a consistent growth.

This really should be taught to everyone in sex ed class. The first time I encountered a girl with nip hair was when I was 22. She had a little ring around both nips. I almost threw up all over her. Since then, I’ve met a few and don’t care as much. I assume that even some of the ones that were hairless just pluck them away.

I’m a guy, but this is typical of the female boobs I’ve encountered (assuming you meant around the areolae rather than on them). There are some hairs, but few enough they can be easily plucked.

For the sake of completeness we should point out that a partner should NOT pluck nipple hairs from a female without her explicit consent.

We should also urge the OP not to go to the beach this summer for the sake of research.

Anyone who sees my bare boobs would assume that I don’t grow hairs around the nipple. This is because I pluck them. I also have a few dark, coarse hairs around my belly button that get plucked. It’s like plucking stray eyebrow hairs, IMO. Except that I had my stray eyebrow hairs mostly removed by electrolysis, but I’m rather reluctant to let an electric needle anywhere near my nipples.

My mother’s side of my family tends to be very, very fair, and my girl cousins on that side say that they don’t have noticeable nipple hairs. I have not demanded that they show me. On the other hand, my father’s side of the family is swarthy, except for Grandpa Bodoni, who was a freckled redhead. My girl cousins on that side have griped about dark body hair to me, including nipple hairs. We’ve discussed hair removal techniques on various body parts.

I haven’t discussed body hair, nipple or otherwise, very much with my male cousins. I have seen that my paternal male cousins do have a lot of chest and leg hair. Again, I haven’t demanded that they show me their hair.

Based on the handful of samples (sample of handfuls?) I’ve encountered this is not unusual. Most women “take care of it”.

I’m a 47 yo male, and I wasn’t aware that women frequently had visible hairs on their nipples. I must assume that my partners took care of that without ever mentioning it.

As a man with hair in various places, it never occurred to me that women wouldn’t have it in the same location (just less of it). I mean, guys have armpit hair, women have armpit hair, etc.
Women do typically pluck hairs like this. And Re: Porn it really depends on the type of porn. There is a “Hairy Women” genre which, I’m sure if you look you can find hairy nipples pretty easily assuming it is not obscured by massive crotch 'fro. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not the sort of thing that tends to come up in casual conversation, is it?

I have a few, though my body hair is fine so they are not visible from a distance - but they definitely are different than the nearly-invisible blonde peach fuzz elsewhere on my torso.

I’ve always heard it’s very common, but most women, like me, remove them.
