How Cool Is That?

No sweat, Sealemon. I just found another, johnnyharvard, on a thread in GQ. Houston’s up to possibly nine now.

Confirming that AYESHA and I are in Houston,TX

Well, shit, what is that, 9? 10?

I think we oughta go for it. Life is too short to not meet cool people (I’m talking about you guys: My ego isn’t thAT big).

My schedule is screwed up: My best day to do something is Sunday.

I just hope I’m not getting ahead of myself here.

Any other Houstonians interested in food and drinks?

You say “cheesy” like that’s a BAD thing.

Pick your Sunday, pal. We all know Houston’s a big place. I’m up for it.

I’m inside The Loop, but I’ll venture wide if we can muster.

Regards

Polycarp - I’ll let you know the next time she’s in town! You’re buying, I assume…

Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis ad capul tuum saxum immane mittam.

Damn! I’m in Chicago (actually, I’m in the suburbs, but that’s nothing to be proud of) and I know I’ve heard a few other people mention that they live around here, but I don’t know who (whom?). I’ve been lurking for so long that I feel like I know everyone… and I’d definitely love to meet any regs… OH! And another thing - I’m going to be in LA next month - is there anyone around there?

hey Sqrl… I’m in the DC area  Fairfax, VA.

As for RL meetings… I’ve met Kiltgrrrrl/Melis, PearlH60, Tyler/StoryTyler, Fixedback, Luvsadawg, BeLogical, Michelle, and probably some others that I’m forgetting. Some of those are AOL board people who don’t post here.

All kinds of parties going on here. I do live in the same city as one other, but I don’t get out that much. After I get home I have to wear that invisible fence collar.

ChrisCTP: Bill Bryson in his travel books describes des moines as a place where people either stay or leave as soon as they are out of high school. I don’t think he’s anyting really nice about his hometown.

I can just see you folks meeting somewhere. Perhaps in a cyberbar, so that when you can’t get over the appearance and voice of your net friends, you can go back to the computers in your booths.

Hey Zette. Mike King isn’t too far NW of us (I’m guessing) and I think there are a couple from out around Albany.

Okay Satan,we don’t All know Latin.Please decifer.

Hey, there has to be more southern CA Dopers out there. I know Melin is in the Pasadena area–anyone else anywhere near Pasadena or LA?

I’m in Dallas. If there’s a get together for the Texas SDMBers, I’ll vote for San Antonio. I’ll even drag my brother, the lurker along for fun.

So pldennison and tomndebb live by me. Maybe the Cleveland area isn’t one for Christians!

Polycarp –

There are at least two more SDMBers in this area – ConMan in Durham and whitetho in Cary. You sure you want to feed us all?

Fretful - Yes he does. Make a reservation for six at the Angus Barn, right Polycarp?

Hell, I might even drive down to NC to meet y’all…meeting another W&M grad and Satan? I’m there! < grin >

OldBroad: I downplay that I live in Colorado because I loooong to be back in Michigan’s UP. I’ll get there someday, I will!

hehehee… Boulder’s a funny place, yes… I actually live in Longmont. But nobody’s ever heard of Longmont, and everybody knows Boulder, so I usually tell people I live in the Boulder area. Or use that old joke… “just to the right of Boulder.”

I’m in KC, Mo. Woohoo!

We are the children of the Eighties. We are not the first “lost generation” nor today’s lost generation; in fact, we think we know just where we stand - or are discovering it as we speak.

If I were rich, would I be giving away my wit and wisdom on the SDMB??

Can we make it Dutch Treat? (Does that mean Coldfire picks up the bill?? :))
