I have no reason to believe you are a racist of any particular stripe, and nothing you said in this post makes me think that. So it seems you may be the other type of Trump supporter that Clinton talked about: folks who are just generally angry and frustrated.
I would also add that the OP is a danger to himself and everyone around him, both directly (because of all the guns) and indirectly (because of his promotion of them, and of the NRA, and the delusional, paranoid fear that any kind of non-lunatic progressive is automatically coming to take them away). Very much in the pattern of the paranoid minority-hating knee-jerk uneducated blue-collar Trump supporter, even if he claims he’s not voting for him.
I honestly still don’t understand how non Trump supporters are insulted by this. I really don’t. I mean, I’ve read the arguments, but none of them are compelling to me, so I suppose I understand, but I don’t UNDERSTAND.
Well, since something like a third of Clinton supporters fall into this “deplorable” category, I think she meant that she didn’t want their votes and they should vote for Trump.
My acid test for who is more anti-gun is based on their reaction to the Sandy Hook shootings. Trump called for an assault weapons ban. Hillary maintained radio silence and her husband told the gun control folks to slow their roll. Don’t get me wrong, she is no friend of the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America but I doubt she will do much about it.
PLUS being a gun enthusiast is not on her list of horribles:
I think I am guilty of some of the things on her list.
Racist? Yes. I try not to be but I find myself getting more nervous around a bunch of loud unruly black teens and just annoyed by loud unruly white teens.
Sexist? A teeny tiny bit but having been a real misogynistic prick in my younger years has made me much less sexist in my older years.
Homophobic? No, I don’t think so. I don’t have a lot of gay friends now that I live in suburbia but I did when I was younger. We partied at a lot of the same places. Places like Vertigo and China Club.
Xenophobic? No. If anything I am too eager to meet people from foreign cultures.
islamaphobic? I am pretty ignorant about islam. I know a lot of my acquaintances are muslim but its not a central feature of our relationship. I don’t feel comfortable bringing it up.
