How did the Brady Bunch have zero charting albums or singles?

 Well I will be damned. There was one kid.

Thanks, W E. If it helps, in my neck of the woods only the “cool kids” were into The Patridge Family."

Damn! TMI again!

Don’t take it too hard. I think around a certain age most kids are just interested in watching any show or movie with kids in them. I know I certainly was. In fact, that was the reason why I used to watch “The Brady Bunch” nearly every Friday night when I was around 6 and 7. Eventually, I grew out of it and, by the time the Brady kids formed their singing group, I had switched over to “Sanford and Son.”

As for why the Brady Bunch never charted, I guess sometimes the system works.

The funny thing (or maybe ironic) is that the most musically talented ‘Brady’ was Robby Rist, who only came in for, what, six episodes in the last season. he’s been in quite a few bands (most notably The Andersons and now The Mockers), produced dozens of albums, and has a long list of songwriting credits. He’s not topping the charts, but has kept employed inthe music business long after any of the other dilettantes from that show stopped trying to be musicians.

I tell poeple it’s more of a romantic friendship…

I read this as "The Brady Bunch Pornographic Album’ and went to a terrible, terrible place.

I was going through some boxes the other day and found my tape of The Brady Bunch Greatest Hits. I’m disapointed to learn that they had no hits, greatest or otherwise. I bought the tape some ten years ago, mainly for the groups unbelievable cover of “American Pie.” There’s something blissfully disturbing about hearing little Cindy Brady lisping about “Thatan laughing with delight.”

Well you know, when it’s time to change, then it’s time to change.

Can anyone confirm the existence of any 45’s by the Brady’s?

wrong thread, sorry

Yes.

I read that so very, very wrong…

And so very, very late…

I think you’re thinking of John Denver.

It is a relief to know I’m not alone. I mean, I’ve heard the stories from “Growing Up Brady” but I didn’t expect…

Of course–me reading it an hour after you and making the same mistake means that I shouldn’t be allowed to post it. Shame on me, I shall go rend my clothes and tear out my hair.

(I did read your post later in the thread, but I didn’t see it as a reason to not make my post. So very, very sorry for offending you.

Hey Opal, could you let me know when your birthday is? I’d like to buy you a sense of humor and I missed Christmas.

Sure, it’s February 11. If you can find one in purple that would be awesome.

Is this an attempted whoosh? ‘Cause I ain’t fallin’ for it.

I believe it was a joking reference to the resemblance between the two.

It is a mistaken belief that Barry Williams (Greg Brady) was a musical genius of monumental proportions. He just fit the suit.
