How do I attend a reunion for a school from which I did not graduate?

It’s ten-year reunion time.
I got shafted when I had to move from OR to CA half way through my junior year of high school.
The only person I care about from the school I graduated from is the one I’m married to. What I really want is to see my old friends from my first HS. How would you suggest I go about this? I know the where, when, and some of the who. Are reunions usually closed to non-invitees? Should I just go and crash it?
Help.

If I were you, I’d just go. My class reunions include everyone who was in the class at any time, from grade school onward, whether they graduated with the class or not.

We also have one event that anyone can come to, whether they were in the class or not.

I’ll bet they’ll be glad to see you. Go! And report back!

I seriously doubt the school would discourage this…there were people at my reunion who graduated from a different school, for the same reason as you. Call the school and find out who is organizing the reunion, contact the organizing committee and tell them you want to come. No big deal! And have fun!!!

Interesting. The exact same thing happened to me. Sucks, doesn’t it?

I’ve never been to any reunions at either school. At one time I would have liked going to a reunion from the first school but it has been so long now (I graduated in the early 1980s) and I live 200 miles away.

Definitely sucks. My older brother had graduated, my younger wasn’t in HS yet.
I didn’t mention I haven’t gotten anything for my graduating high school regarding a reunion. Makes me feel wanted.

Maybe they just can’t find you.

I’m not that hard to find, but you never know.
Maybe they sent it to the other me* down in Santa Barbara. Hmmm…don’t care.
