How do I bulk up

I’m rather lean and was wondering how do I bulk up, do I have to eat more carbohydrates? Wat daily diet would be appropiate to?

Get fat? Eat more calories than you burn. You need about 12 cals per day per pound of body weight. So, if you need 14,000 cals per week but eat 21,000, you’ll gain about 2 pounds per week.

Calorie dense foods are usually fatty animal products and candy and processed juices. Also, eating in combos of fat and sugar (fast food with dessert) spike glucose levels in the blood, makes you hungrier faster, and tells your body to ‘bulk up’ by storing fat.

Trying to keep this simple because there is a ton of science you could tap into.

Even if you are really skinny (like me) you do not want to simply gain weight (i.e. fat), you want to gain muscle. If you gain fat, it will not make you look any better. On me, it goes straight to my stomach, so I look weird being so thin yet with a gut.

You need to eat a lowfat high carbohydrate diest, and you must also start a weight lifting regemin that adresses each muscle group only one a week. Start with lifting three days a week: one day chest and triceps, another back and biceps, and another legs. That’s what I do. If you lift more than that, you don’t allow your muscles to rebuild themselves and you won’t bulk up as quickly.
