Okay, I’ve run Adware and Spybot, and when I reboot, I still have internet pharmacy & such getting stuck onto my desk top again. And there is stuff on the hard drive that I don’t seem to recall being there before, such as: “iehelper”, “icinstaller”, “assa”, “steup_td”, “ezsb”, but I don’t know what they do or how to find out or how to get rid of them. And when I start up the interet explorer, I get a message saying that spybot has blocked advertising.com, or something to that effect, and that has never happened before toninght.
More than likely the problem is when you reboot, these programs start, and Spybot/Adaware cannot remove them.
E-mail me. I have a freeware program I’ve been using for years that will help you easily remove those programs from your Start menu. Disable them, reboot, then run the Adaware and Spybot again.
And yes, definitely check for the updates frequently. And the “advertising.com” block is a feature of Spybot’s immunization. It’s a good thing, trust me.
