After months of actively searching for a job, I landed one at a factory a few towns over. However, it is only a temp job, and once I hit 400 hours, which will be in about a month and a half, I’ll have to apply for a permanent job there, and I might not get it. I’d like to get a little bit of extra income for the times when I don’t have a job, and my typing skills are pretty good (50 words/minute average). I tried to find some work-from-home typing jobs online, but the sites I found were sketchy-looking, like they’d just send me a bunch of spam. Where can I find legitimate typing jobs online?
They do exist, I used to have one, but I’m in the UK so can’t really give you any tangible advice about finding a job in your area. The place I worked for was Take Note.
You’re generally paid for output rather than the time it takes you to type. My typing speed is closer to 100 wpm and I wasn’t earning very much so I would question whether at 50 wpm, it would really be worth your time. However, I’m sure with a bit of practice, you could improve your speed!
Each typing company has a house style of how they produce their documents and you’ll be expected to follow the style to the letter.
Happy to answer any other questions you may have, based on my experience.
