How do I find out who owns the rights (TV shows)

There are a number of TV shows that I would love to see come out on DVD. Two that come to mind off the top of my head are Taxi and Night Court. I’d love to write to the companies that own these shows and ask if there are any plans to release them on DVD in the somewhat near future.

I’m fairly certain that Paramount owns the rights to Taxi. I have no idea who owns the rights to Night Court. How would I, Private Joe Citizen, go about finding this information (not just about Taxi and Night Court, but about other shows that come to mind later)?

Hey, looks like this page says Warner Bros. owns Night Court. And Paramount owns Taxi. There’s other James Burrows shows on that page as well.

Also, while searching a little bit I saw some mentions of Night Court DVDs - either printed and hard to get or out of print. Odd that any DVD would be OOP already…
