Avast found this virus:
Virus Name: Win32:Trojano-155 [Trj]
File Name: C:\System Volume Information_restore{40223803-0048-435F-BAE8-174F2E04CEF0}\RP76\A0059185.exe
VPS Version: 0427-2, 07/04/2004
When I click on more info it takes me to the Avast home page
The C:\System Volume Information Sounds searious, and so I do not want to delete it willy nilly.
Avast Cannot repair the file.
What do I do now? I’m having trouble googling this virus ( I think it’s actually a trojan horse) So please help me, this is my first virus.
Thanks in advance.

The only info I can find off of Google is that it is an AOL password stealing program, but I do not use AOL, WTF

Delete just the file, not the directories. If you aren’t happy doing this, try a different AV program.
I recommend H+BEDV AntVir. It is free (for private use) and good.
Seeing as how it is a trojan, you may also want to try The Cleaner. It specializes in finding and removing trojan type stuff. Look here:
In Windows ME and Windows XP, you have to disable system restore before running the virus scanner. The system restore folder is a protected folder, and virus protection programs cannot delete or heal files located there. Make sure to turn System Restore back on after the running the virus scanner
