How do I open a DVB file?

This seems like a strange extension for a video file. My research does not give me a clear answer.
Has anyone heard of this?

From here I get that it is one of the following:

  • DVB Visual Basic for Applications Macro Project (Microsoft Corporation)
  • DVB DVBLine Document
  • DVB AutoCAD VBA Source Code (Autodesk, Inc.)

I would guess that it’s some form of a DVB transport stream file. Vlc and mplayer have support for playing transport streams, but I’ve never used them with anything other than ATSC transport streams, so I can’t comment on well they might work with DVB.

Th VLC palyer worked. Windows MP does not.
