How do I search threads I’ve started on my iPhone?
I don’t remember the terms I used (apparently) since my searches didn’t turn up the thread I searched for.
FWIW, it was a thread about a movie that had a bad teen girl. (I think)

You can choose to see only topics you’ve created using advanced filters in your search results.
ETA: Is it this?

Press your on your avatar. Takes you to your page. Press the block that says “and others” press “topics”
There she wrote.
I was going to suggest that but he’s created over 700 topics. I think that on mobile you’re limited to your most recent topics/posts.
Did not know that.
Exploring it further, I don’t think there’s any limit. Lucas could in fact find his post looking through his topics. The task is merely onerous rather than impossible.
Thanks, but that isn’t it.
Could you expand? When I press on my avatar I show a dropdown of recent threads I’ve participated in.
Is the question “How do I search on my iPhone for threads I’ve started?” or “How do I search for threads I’ve started on my iPhone as opposed to threads I’ve started on other devices?”
At the top of the page in the banner, I press my avatar. I get a drop down, go to the human figure at the bottom. That will go to your profile page. Find the click block for “more things”
You’ll see activities. Press “topics” it should show your threads.
(If you see “activity” anywhere it should show your topics and replies.)
Thanks. I stumbled my way into the answer I sought, with your guidance, of course. Though I never found the “more things” thing.
This.
Discourse doesn’t know or care which device you used to start or edit a post. I often start them on my phone and finish them on my PC. So Discourse is no help. And therefore e.g. Google would be no help either.
IANA iPhone guy, but it’s a pretty good bet there’s no practical way on your iPhone to search its history for each instance where you used the create thread page. Might be, but probably not easy.
Answering the question you didn’t ask, but that someone else may benefit from …
Searching for threads you started on any / every device is easy from the Discourse search page. Click the >Advanced filters button to show all the options. Under [Only return topics/posts] open the drop down, scroll down and select [Are the very first post]. Add your username in the >Posted by box, then add any before or after date constraints and whatever keywords you can think are relevant.
If you do this often, as I do, pretty quickly you have the syntax for the resulting search string memorized: Here’s the input to retrieve my last 6 months of OPs:
[in:first @LSLGuy after:2024-01-28].
To which I could try adding various keywords to further narrow the search. But that’s usually not necessary. If you’re just looking for posts, not OPs, leave off the [in:first].
I find I tend to remember about how long ago I made a post very readily. I also remember some likely keywords, but maybe not. Which device? Hah.
So overall, armed with a list of just my OPs and a date range a few months long, there’s probably few enough posts for to scan the results by eye.
Under your security options there’s a list of recently used devices. I don’t know how far back it goes but you could use the dates you logged in to narrow your search using your technique. Cumbersome but, I imagine, effective.
By the way, @Lucas_Jackson, what movie was it?
I’m glad I could help a bit. I never know the actual names of things on devices. I can find them on mine.
Then are different skins here. I don’t know if that changes text.
Glad you found it.
Haven’t found it yet … and it’s driving me mad.
