Hi everyone. I just have a question about shaving. I find it extremely difficult shaving the front part of my lower legs, u know the area directly down from the knees. All the lumpy ridges of bones never fails to give me a cut from my shaver. I never get scarred from them, but the cuts (often turns out as dots - directly above each of the ridges of bones) seems to never go away. But somehow, i’ve never seen them on other people, so I assumed you guys found out a way to shave that area. Sorry if this is a very stupid question.
Try a Mach 3 and a good shaving gel. Place a warm wet rag on your shin for a little bit of time and then put the gel on. Shave up gently - don’t press hard. Works for me.
Every time I shave that area, it reminds me of what happened to my mom when she was pregnant and in a hurry to get to the doctors. She pulled the razor up on on shin and all the skin came up with it (still attached to her at the top). She gingerly laid the strip of skin back over her wound and put bandaids all the way down so it looked like she had a freaky zipper on the front of her leg. Then she did the same thing to the other leg. :eek:
Something else you could try is to straighten your leg all the way out, locking the knee. This moves the bone back a little so that it’s not so prevalent while you’re shaving. I use very short, careful strokes when shaving this area… Just like doing the outside of the ankles. Every dang time I nick that spot!

Brachyrhynchos: ouch those zippers hurt so much - i got one of those (3cm scar now) above my ankles - or maybe it just proves i’m a really bad shaver. thanx for reminding me that area is called the shin (i’m bad at remembering words that i don’t use often). oh - i had to copy and paste ur name 
Brea: i tried straightening my leg all the way out, but those bones still stick out…hmmm…guess i got an ugly leg
Ask your boyfriend to do it for you.
As a reward, allow him to shave the “fun parts” too.
OK, hands up all the other men who looked in here only to be bitterly disappointed? 
ChiefScott : I wish I could ask him to help, but he seems to have problems shaving his own face (always too stubbly + never smooth enough). Just thinking about the cuts on his face gives me the shivers…as if i hadn’t done enough damage to my legs.
Iguana Boy : I’m really sorry to disappoint you, and any others as well. You see, my english is really bad, and I couldn’t remember what the name of that area was called. Didn’t mean to cause confusion.
I guess I could start mentioning other body parts which you might be more interested in, but I seem to have enough difficulty with just my legs. Oh, just call me a stupid shaver.
My wife is fanatical about shaving so I waited for a sale at Sears and got her one of those electric razors, for the ladies, that works in the shower. She loves it.

I actually do the exact opposite of Brea. After I shave the rest of my leg, I bend my leg all the way, stretching the skin across my knee. With the skin pulled tight, take careful and short strokes over the knee (you may have to shave in a few different direction to allow for the bumps. Happy shaving!

Thinking about Al Zheimers post, maybe we should both get one since we’re both kinda hurting ourselves each time we shave (not on each other ChiefScott, but on ourselves).

I always get those lil’ cuts on my shin when i shave. The first time I let my man shave my legs, he got those cuts too and apologized for hours. They don’t hurt!!! I think it has to do with the texture of the hair there or something because my knee and shin bones don’t stick out. There is plenty of meat on these ole bones

No wonder Rilchiam didn’t recognize it. He’s used to seeing pigs from the rear!
