How Do Men Shave Their ...

… heads?

A little background: When I was a little kid I used to make fun of bald men, so of course I went bald when I was 25. (Og has a mean sense of humor.) Now I’m 38 years old, with a fringe of (now graying) hair around the back. I had a full beard and mustache for that last 20 years, until last year when my beard turned gray. I trimmed off most of the beard so now I have a goatee.

More background: I’ll be getting a divorce soon.

In a vain – hah! – attempt to look younger and more attractive, I’m thinking about shaving my head. So my questions are:

  1. How does this work? I can’t see going to the barber every three days. Anyone actually do this themselves? Electric or disposable shavers? Shaving cream?

  2. Am I kidding myself? Does a 38 year old man with a goatee and a shaved head elicit admiration or amusement?

Thanks

No, you won’t get laughed at. It’s a pretty popular look these days. I don’t shave my head (bald) anymore, but I keep my hair very, very short. And maybe it’s me, but goatees were MADE to go with that look.

I concur… if there’s nowt on top, you’ll need some chin pubes for balance…

My brother (now 31) has been steadily balding since 18 or so… he went for the “near-bicced” look recently and personally I think it looks good on him (I’m taking notes, since I’m now twenty-one… I give my full head of hair 6 more years)
