How do we feel about fireworks in the MMP?

For some bizarre “reason”, the firework noises have already begun. Several hours before dark.

Yep. It’s 18:20 now, and the fireworks have been going off for a few hours. I parked the MG behind the jeep, and there’s room for us to set up our chairs to watch the show. Sunset is 21:16, so there’s still three hours until things really start popping.

Re: My previous post. We ate about half of our steaks. We usually do. Bay Center Market has the best steaks. We seldom buy steaks anywhere else, Got the corn there, too. It was also very nice. (The oysters came from Brady’s Oysters on our road trip Wednesday.)

Cleaned, napped, mad myself a gin&tonic to fight off a scurvy attack. dinner tonight is pork loin with Penzey’s Northwood seasoning, baked N.O.T.s, and sauteed green and yellow wax beans with a splash if whute wine vinegar.

Probably out getting hammered.

Well, the M-80 style boom just as well in daylight. and we got some here, too.

I’m not sure when my ancestors got kicked out of their respective countries. :uk: :ireland: :poland: :de: I do know my paternal Great Grandma was 1st genration German.

Yay!

Home, exhausted, but it was a really nice event. Roxy scored a drumstick from the band, and I think she won the heart of the lead singer, too! She danced with anyone who’d take her hand, except her mama, who she pushed away! and she sang happy birthday to the fireworks, followed by Twinkle Twinkle Little Fireworks! Very entertaining.

Shortly, I will drag my carcass back to bed. Loooooong day for this old woman. Someone else needs to start us off tomorrow - anyone? Anyone? Bueller???

Not even dark here and I’ve seen some stuff that looks professional-grade. No official display is due to begin within the next half hour and none of those would be visible from here anyway.

I do have to irk tomorrow. Caffeine will apparently be a food group in the morning.
