Society is not ready to accept this when it pertains to teaching their children.
It’s just not.
How hard is it to understand that this is not the relevant aspect of the analogy. If we grant the hypothetical that any given way to earn money is always a choice (and it may not be), working as a garbage collector is a choice. Do you think it is therefore morally acceptable to marginalize and disrespect people who choose to do that difficult and dirty job?
The fact that something is a choice, that someone who makes that choice is not a legally protected class, does not absolve us from any obligation to examine the morality of our attitudes and behavior toward someone who makes that choice.
Clearly, as evidenced by stories in the news everyday, society is not ready to accept trans people when it pertains to teaching their children.
It’s just not.
I agree they’re not ready for that.
Being born transexual is not a choice. Is it?
My head is starting to hurt. What a question! Are we getting off topic?
Well yes, the topic isn’t headaches.
No, it isn’t. Acting on it is.
Or posting porn. A choice in the same way for straight, gay, trans, interracial, with animals.
Which ever.
I’m strictly saying parents, school boards, communities are not gonna sit still for this.
Children should not be around it any of it in any way. Especially from a trusted person, like a teacher. No matter how remote the possibilities of it happening. No more than they should be around any dangers. Some could be mitigated, some not so much.
This may be less evil than guns but it’s not safe. IMO.
Umm, exactly what are the “dangers” of having a teacher with an OnlyFans page?
(And if one is unaware of the supposed ‘’‘’‘dangers’‘’‘’ that LGBTQ people, not just teachers, pose to children one merely needs to Google the word “groomer”.)
Hm. The same danger of a teacher who keeps a gun at home?
Early exposure to pornography is not good for children. This is common knowledge.
Early exposure to LGBTQ people is not good for children. This is common knowledge.
I never said that. I never this teacher was ‘grooming’ students. Those are your words.
Not true!
From what I’ve seen in the news it’s parents who keep a gun at home that are the danger.
You should understand that that is not my position but it is the position of a significant number of people.
If teacher posted video of them brandishing a gun. I certainly would be worried.
Early exposure to firearms is not good for children. This is common knowledge.
Owning a firearm is a choice. If there is a possibility that children will be exposed to the firearm -
There is only one conclusion. Gun owners shouldn’t be allowed to be teachers.
I know. Its the only subject that angers me, having had a gay child.
If you wanna believe that, go ahead.
And you cut my post to make it sound like I said that. Which I didn’t. Remote possiblity that a child sees her teacher doing porn.
