How do we know which threads we've posted in

Go to the bottom of the page and set the thread to Tracking rather than Watching. Then you’ll get a notification. See also Preferences > Notifications on your Profile page.

Thanks! Is there a way to set that up automatically? (BTW, since you quoted me, I did get notified)

Looking down there I see it is set to tracking for me with the following text: “You will see a count of new replies because you posted a reply to this topic.”

Looks like “Watching” might be closer to the concept of a subscribed thread, and it further looks like just the act of posting is able to auto-assign that thread.

Can we or should we switch the automatic assignment when you post from Tracking to Watching?

Yeah, the “recent activity of subscribed threads” list that came up when you clicked User CP on the old boards is the main way I used the boards. Bummer that such functionality is gone.

We can still see a list of every thread we’ve posted to, but it shows all of them, even the ones with no new posts.

Unread is pretty much what you’re looking for
