How do you cancel a facebook account?

I did the 'Deactivate Account" option, but my account is still there waiting. If I login using my initial email account, I get “welcome back” and however many months of messages still waiting. I want my facebook page gone, dead, non living, unavailible, die, I dont exist, it never happened, fuck off etc.

How do you cancel a facebook page???
