Please someone help me! Thanks!
Do you have Photoshop or know anyone that does?
No, I do not.
Any program that can open psd files should be able to save it as a bmp. If its not a private picture, you could email it to me and I’ll try to do it.
If you’re on a Mac, get GraphicConverter. Open existing file (it will ask you which layers to use/merge), save as Windows BMP.
If you’re on a PC, I’m not sure, but perhaps Paint Shop Pro will open Photoshop files?
On a PC, try IrfanView. It’s freeware. Open the .PSD and then save as a .BMP file.
Go to http://www.tucows.com and search for freeware or limited trial shareware graphic file viewers and under the description of the formats they can handle make sure they read .psd files.
I second the recommendation on Irfanview. It kicks butts and takes down names, generally speaking.
You can go to the Adobe site 9specifically http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.html) and download the trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements, which expires in 30 days, but I’d imagine you can probably export to BMP.
I haven’t tried this, however, and the other folks probably have better concrete ideas.
I would suggest getting the Photoshop trial but it says on that page that you can’t save or export.
Good Idea with one hitch: the trial version won’t let you save files, so you can’t convert them using File, Save As.
I just checked my version of Paint Shop (7.02), and psd is a supported format. You’ll probably have to click file/preferences/ file associations, then click the psd box. And I know the 30 day trial will let you save files.
I love IrfanView
ACDSee is also a good shareware viewer/converter.
