How do you download from the Internet Movie Database?

I can’t figure out how to download. I have registered and all, but how do you download? Or do you have to pay for them?

Have you used the IMDb before? It contains information on films. You can’t actually download films from it. Apart from being hideously impractical (bandwidth and file storage space), there’s enough copyright issues to make a lawyer’s brain bleed. The shopping link to Amazon should give you a subtle hint that you have to buy it like you would any other film (if it was available).

IIRC, registering just gives you the ability to post movie reviews and participate in the discussion forums.

When you say “download”… do you mean that you would like to download movies from the IMDB? Because, if so, that is not what the IMDB is about. The IMDB is a reference for any movie you’d like to know about, not a place where you can watch them.

Surely this was a joke? Even if you really thought you could download movies for free before they go on general release, why would you not try to get the answer from IMDB?
