How do you feel about players cursing on air?

In the Rangers-Blue Jackets game last night, one of the players, arguing a non-call, let loose with a “fucking cocksucker” that came over clearly. The announcers ignored it.

This is what I feel is the appropriate response, but apparently some feel that the announcers should apologize vociferously for any cursing that comes through the audio feed.

Your view?

I could care less. The stupidity over Tiger Woods’ language still annoys me

There should be more of it.

You meant Blue Jays, right?

Well I could clearly read the lips of whatever idiot Blue Jay’s player was hollering “fucking pitcher” at Keona Kela. Moron. I don’t object to the use of varieties of fuck. I do object to whiny babies who curse the pitcher when they strike out.

No. Hockey. New York Rangers vs. Columbus Blue Jackets.

The hockey season started Wednesday, believe it or not. Though I’ve yet to see any ice outside my freezer.

Oh that’s funny, cause there was some cursing at the ump in last night’s MLB game.

/ his

our nation is too prudish… you can cuss in real life but not on TV!!!

Well duh, I do watch hockey too and it never occurred to me since I am in Texas and our Rangers are in the playoffs, so…

But I think cursing is part of the language and should not be censored.

If you call a MLB umpire a “fucking cocksucker”. you’re gone. “Cocksucker” is one of the magic words.

“Crash must have called him a cocksucker.”

sigh “How romantic.”

My favorite athlete-swear of all-time was when American Pharoah won the Triple Crown, and his jockey said, “Holy shit!” (The announcers apologized for it.)

The FCC should issue stern warnings and a stiff fine to any broadcast station airing games wherein a player can be heard to use profanity. Just like any other show using such language would be treated. Sports should not have any immunity.

Cable stations, oh well, don’t want to hear swears don’t buy cable.
