On your youtube videos, you can go to the insight statistic tracking module and see where your video hits are coming from. There’s an “external website” option if another website directly links to your video.
It used to be that it would show the generic site, and then if you clicked on that, it would expand to show you the specific pages underneath that site. So if I linked to a video on the SDMB, my external site might list boards.straighdope.com 10 views. And if I clicked on that, it would link me to the URLs, in this case specific threads, where those links come from.
But recently - the last week or two - I only see the general site (boards.straightdope.com), and not the specific links (boards.straightdope.com/showthread.php?whatever).
Was there a change in youtube policy? Is this feature accessible somewhere?
Sometimes my videos show up in odd places, and I’d really like a specific link and not just a general link to a forum to see what the context is.
