How do you like your pigs in a blanket?

Simple question … poll is coming.

Crescent roll. No cheese.

And you have to use the pork little smokies. and you leave the ends of the smokies sticking out. Which means you only use a portion of the crescent roll dough for each one, not the entire thing. If you fully enclose the smokie, then it’s “Pigs in a sleeping bag.”

Crescent roll with cheese.

Where there can be cheese there should be cheese.

“Pigs in a sleeping bag” made me lose my shit, people are staring.

Liquored up and willing to try anything.

Oh.

No cheese. In either case.

I have only had the Crecent roll with cheese and I hated them. It was way too rich, salty and buttery even for my 10 year old self. I have refused to eat them since then. I would probably love hot dogs with biscuit dough never tried them.
Oh and I love pancake batter and breakfast sausage

Pigs in a blanket are breakfast sausage wrapped in a pancake. No other kind exists :).

And smothered in maple syrup.

Pigs in a blanket are ground beef wrapped in cabbage leaves and covered in tomato sauce, you heathens!

Go, Pirates!

That’s a cabbage roll. :dubious:

I’m always a fan of cheese, personally.

This attempt amuses and intrigues me, though. Never thought of that before.

I prefer mine to be the British style recipe - using bacon for the blanket.

Never been fond of either type. Worst version I ever had was someone who used vienna sausages in pie crust strips.

What I would like to try sometime is wrapping a piece of lieberkaese with mustard in pie crust, sort of a meat poptart.

Quarter pound kosher doggies in jumbo crescent-rolls, no cheese.

Exactly this. We call them piglets in a blanket.

Concur.

I’m with NotherYinzer. Cabbage rolls are known as “pigs in a blanket” where I grew up (Western Penna.). And they will be known as that to me forever more. But that’s a discussion we’ve had in the past.

As for hot dog rolls, I prefer a wiener wrapped in a crescent roll with a slice of Velveeta.

I’m another pancake and breakfast sausage person.

This.

Yes. Sausage wrapped in a pancake with maple syrup.

I’ve had the other kind in a crescent roll, but it wasn’t called pigs in a blanket.

I like my worstenbroodjes in a basic roll, not biscuit or crescent. And you can leave the cheese out too.
