How do you subscribe to a thread

And how do you use that subscription to call the the thread back up?

Are you using a web browser or a forum viewer like Tapatalk?

Using a browser, if you click the “thread tools”, that will place a nav section at the bottom of the thread. There, is a hyperlink that says “Subscribe to this Thread”. Click it and it will take you to a menu of options in your User CP. Alternatively, at the top of each thread, there is a drop down for “thread tools” and a subscribe option as well.

I’m using a browser, mostly on an iPad.

Thanks. Ok, I went to the thread I want to subscribe to. I used the drop down menu to subscribe. Now how do I locate my ‘subscribed to’ threads?

Click on User CP (control panel), top left on the board header. You will see your active subscribed threads. Below the list of threads is a link to See All Subscribed Threads. That gets you old, inactive ones.

You can also subscribe to a thread when posting. Under the reply box there’s a section of “Additional Options” with a drop-down menu for “Thread Subscription.” Pick any option except “Do not subscribe” and you’ll be subscribed when you post.

You can also set your default option for this. Click User CP, then on the left under Settings & Options click Edit Options, then in the second section (“Messaging & Notification”) you can find a dropdown menu for “Default Thread Subscription Mode.”)

Thanks for the replies. But I’m doing something wrong. Using the drop down menu I click on Subscribe to this thread. And then when I go to the CP it reads, “
New Subscribed Threads: (0)
There are no subscribed threads to display in this folder for this time period”.

I tried subscribing to several threads as a test. I keep getting the same result. Does one need to be a paid member to access this feature?

Then a button should come up that says “Add Subscription.” Are you clicking this button?

Ok, that’s what I was doing wrong. I finally got it. Thanks!

I could have told you all that myself but thought you were asking a rhetorical, philosophical question.
