How do you usually carry your cell phone?

Operative word here being usually.

Belt holster, with pants pocket a very distant second.

I voted pants pocket, but could easily have voted that I don’t usually carry it. In cooler weather it goes in my jacket pocket.

Pants pocket. I should probably look into getting a holster of some kind, though.

I don’t like having other stuff in there with the phone because of scratches on the screen, so I wind up with a 30º list to port from having everything else in the other pocket.

Pants/jacket pocket. I don’t have a case or holster.

Through the week, when I’m in suit pants, in a belt holster.

On the weekends, when I’m wearing my carpenter jeans, in the little side pocket beside the main pocket on my right side.

Holster.

Back when the flip-phone was all the rage a pocket was fine, but in these days of smartphones with big exposed screens I feel a holster/belt clip is a necessity. I don’t understand what’s so “wrong” about them.

In a custom made cloth sock in my front left trouser pocket. I used a leather belt holster for years, but nearly lost my brand new phone when it split down the side one time. I keep nothing else in.that pocket.

Left front pants pocket for an iPhone. I used to wear phones on belt clips, but they kept releasing when I’d lean against the seat belt latch in the truck.

I carry my iPhone in my front pants pocket. The screen is pretty scratch-resistant. Not a single scratch yet.

I carry concealed. Except in New York City.

Front left pants pocket, usually with nothing else in the pocket. Paper (receipts and such) sometimes go in that pocket as well.

In my left front pocket. Usually the only other thing there is my wallet. But in any case, I think the screen is really hard to scratch.

What’s wrong with holsters, you mean? For me, only that it feels like it unnecessarily exposes a thoroughly stealable item. A pants pocket is also much less likely to rip than a holster is likely to fall off the belt.

I don’t carry a lot of accessories, so typically the only contents of the pants pocket I use are two flat phones. Scratching isn’t a real issue, and they’re darn near invisible there. If I happen to be wearing a jacket, it goes in one of those pockets, preferably the inner.

I keep my phone in my computer bag most of the time. The only time I carry it on my person is on the weekends when I’m on call.

Pants pocket.

When I had a flip phone, it was in my left rear pants pocket. I carry my iPhone in an Otter Box belt clip.

I prefer to wear it on my belt, but the RAZR clip design tends to break. I’ve been through about a half dozen of them.

At any given time, mine may be in my purse, my bag, my pocket, or my hand.

Breast pocket. But I have a very compact “dumb phone” chosen for exactly that reason.
