When I met my wife and stared dating her father never referred to me by name. He always called me “That longhaired Son of a Bitch my daughter is dating” We married in 1975. When I first signed up at AOL, I needed a screen name and I suddenly became longhair75

Did he ever come around and start referring to you by name? If not I image the wedding toast was rather awkward…
He never warmed up to me. We were married 49 years ago so this was long before wedding toasts were a common thing. He was a very unpleasant man who dealt with his unhappiness by making everyone around him miserable.
I guess Meathead was already taken, so he went with the long form option 2.
