On the other hand, when you tend to take GD as your home the risks for crossing some board rule (at any given moment) are far much greater then when you reside in Cafe Society
In my opinion that should also be taken in consideration. Not all members get involved in heated GD debates. I am all for giving rewards to those who on a regular base risk their sanity overthere
What happens when a mod screws up and blames me for something someone else does? That happened to me a couple of years ago, old Clogboy said I souldn’t say something and I hadn’t even said it! I can see it now, Eddie, you’re gone!
Point taken. I still believe that a final warning sent through email before the hammer falls is the best thing to do. You say that the email is bogus or no longer current? Not your problem. You did try, after all.
The voice of experience, surely. Thanks for the feedback.
I’ve know the guy for four years and I don’t believe Deb has EVER posted. When is he going to give up the charade?
So, Lynn, does an email warning count for more than a warning in a thread? 'Cuz I’ve had a couple of the latter but can’t find any of the former in my mailboxes.
And to add to Kalhoun’s questions, what happens if an asteroid strikes Mars, sending a fragment of rock from the Tithonium Chasma hurtling toward earth, where it miraculously survives the forces of atmospheric friction and smashes into Leonid Breshnev’s tomb, killing a falcon that ate a quail owned by a British dignitary whose wife works in Washington and has a daughter whose fiance writes articles for DavidB’s reality TV website? Given your relationship with David, what makes you think you could possibly be fair?
Thanks for keeping the thread in the friendly and inquizative vein it had been in from the start, Liberal. Please note that the Pit is also for discussions of administrative policy and one needn’t be nasty in every thread.
