How far are you from your birthplace right now?

About 1070 miles. Born in Shreveport, La. Living in Roseville, Mn.

As I type this I am sitting at my office desk 1/4 mile (400 m) from the building I was born in (it is no longer a hospital). My house is 9.75 miles from that building. I have lived as far as 750 miles from it in the past.

1474 road miles per Mapquest.

Given that I live now in Denver, I’ll leave it as an exercise to the student to figure out where I was born.

Pittsburgh?

About 1500 miles. Currently in Dallas, TX, born in Pocatello, ID.

About 25 miles east of it, yes. On a clear day, from my houses’s hilltop, I could see the US Steel building as a teeny-tiny rectangle on the horizon.

365 miles.

Two blocks.
When I go home I will be three blocks.
The hospital isnt open anymore though, its big empty boarded up building.

United Kingdom to California, so pretty far.

About three miles.

Just to clarify, I meant someone who was born “at home” and still (or again) lives in the same house.

From my house to Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL (where I was born): 3.63 miles.

Right now, 15 miles. I have never lived more than 17 miles from the hospital where I was born.

Google Maps says 874 miles from my home to Deaconess Hospital on Mary St in Evansville IN. Haven’t lived any closer since I was 2.

1880.3552 miles. 3026.1426 kilometers. Great circle route. Given my location and that both are major CMA’s, I wonder who can figure out which cities I am referring to.

3919 kms on the road according to Google Maps. Though if I stay inside Canada it drops to 3,579 by road.

4,562 mi
Not far enough

186 miles

2384.50 miles.

2,080 some miles (I couldn’t find the actual hospital). It seems I was born somewhat near the Mythbusters test facility.
