How Far Do You Live From an Interstate Highway?

Less than three miles from three different highways.

About three miles from I-65. Until they completed the nearby ramp onto I-65 a few years ago, though, I was six miles away from the closest exit onto I-465.

In an interesting point of fact, Suburban Plankton and I live exactly (according to Google maps) 1.1 miles east of I-5 and 1.1 miles south of I-80. I knew we lived in between them, but I didn’t realize it was exactly in between them.

It works by the federal government choosing to fund roads in Hawaii.

4 miles to I-94.

About 25 miles from I-84.

I don’t have one of those surveyor’s tape measures, but if I did, I imagine the distance would be a couple of hundred feet at most. The on ramps are right there too. It’s quite convenient to get around.

Ditto. But when I did live in Honolulu, not far at all.

When I lived in Albuquerque, I had an apartment on the corner of University and Indian School, which ws not far at all from the interchange of I-40 and I-25.

About 4.25 miles to I-94, and not the most fun drive, having to travel that distance due west through fairly heavy city traffic unless it’s after midnight.

I’m a 0.9 mile drive from the nearest on-ramp to I-280, but if I could fly, the nearest approach would be a quarter mile.

I’m five minutes (Google maps says 1.9 miles) from the entrance ramp for I-55 down in the Plainfield/Joliet area. Please don’t throw rocks at me

Several thousand km at the time.

But my family refers to I-95 as “my highway”. I lived two blocks away from it, tops, in all six of my Miami addresses; in Philadelphia the distance was longer but only as the car rolls, as the crow flies it was “just look up, it’s that overpass”.

2,968 miles from I-95 at the Canadian border. But if you count UK motorways as the equivalent to interstates, two and a half miles from the M3.

Less than a mile to 1-195 and to U.S. Route 6.

The back of our backyard buts up against an offramp of I-80 in Northern California. The distance to getting on the freeway itself is 0.4 miles.

From my house in suburban Chicago, I’m about 2.5 miles from I-290, 3.5 miles from I-55, and 4.5 miles from I-294.

I’d have to throw it about 160 miles to reach Plainfield/Joliet!

15 miles or so.

40.6 miles from I-71.

There are two interstate highways where I live. I live about four miles from I-10, then another 11 further down to where I-19 splits off it.
