1100 miles. Columbus, Ohio to Dallas, TX
At age 59 I’m living about 8 miles from where I was born.
My older sister and younger brother live across the street from each other within 1/2 mile of where we were born.
One of my sons and his family live 500 feet away from me.
The other son and family is in Maryland - some 670 miles away. Bummer
From elementary school era home: 2503 miles
From Jr High era home: 2514 miles
From High school era home: 2988 miles
About 40000 Kilometers, that’s kind of the long way around tho.
Born and grew up in the Highlands of Scotland
Live in Baltimore MD
About 2500 miles I think
Live in OKC, OK now.
Born in a little town on the Gulf Coast of Texas. Parts of my childhood were spent in East Texas, in L.A., CA, in Denver, Padukah, KY, Milwalke, WS, in semi-rural Gulf Coast Texas, San Fransisco, Houston, rural Louisianna… We moved a lot. Even as an adult, I continued that way of life for a while. Moving to where the work was, or where the good times were. Back to Colorado, to Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Washington, Missouri, Indiana, Georgia, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, California, and Texas again.
I’ve been here for about 14 yrs now. Looks like I’ll probably stay. Some family is here, the rest is in Colorado. No family in Texas anymore.
Every place where I have lived (and there are several) are within an hour’s or so drive from one another, in the same metropolitan area (Sacramento County).
No precise milage figures, as there isn’t one central point to give.
Born in D.C. and raised in a D.C. suburb (Montgomery County, MD), I now live on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia (about 1.5 hours from Sydney). Approximately 9800 miles.
We’re moving home, though, in another month (yay!). We’ll be in Raleigh, NC.
I grew up in Long Island, went to school in Rhode Island, moved back to LI for a year, then I’ve lived in 3 places in NJ, finally ending up about 85 miles from where I’ve started.
I’ve lived in 3 states, each of which have had 2 word names. And eventually will be moving to a fourth

I live on the same geographic location where I spent the first 6 years and most summers and vacations of my life.
I live in the Boston area as well but I grew up on the Texas-Louisiana border. I moved here about 10 years ago. The distance is about 1800 miles.
I live about 60 miles from where I lived in early childhood, and a bit under 30 miles from where I lived as an older child and teenager. The city I lived in from ages 18-20 is 110+ miles from here, however.
I am also in Baltimore, MD (County), and 2500 miles or so from where I grew up in Alberta, Canada.
They tore down the hospital where I was born (angry mob, torches, pitchforks, the whole thing) but I can still drive by the site within 20 minutes of leaving home. There was a period where I moved to Alaska, but it didn’t take.
Approximately 15 feet. I wasn’t allowed upstairs here as a kid, because my brother and sister’s rooms were up here, and I wasn’t allowed in their rooms. But I was gone for many, many years. I am quite literally the sandwich generation…my son is in the next room, and my elderly mother is in the room right below me. I love being back in my neighborhood (except for the OCD-Pyscho bitch who lives next door) and my yard and all that, but I hate this living situation.
333.38 miles, according to MapQuest – I grew up in North Olmsted, OH, a suburb of Cleveland.
I will forever live & work in SW Ohio.
I live three blocks from the house I grew up in.
I don’t know why, but it kind of makes me sad.
2817 miles
I live about 1200 miles due south from where I grew up.
