Trump picked not one but two unqualified guys for the Federal Reserve, both with past women trouble; now both have crashed and burned. Only “the best people”!: Stephen Moore withdraws from Federal Reserve Board consideration - Vox
Not sure where to post this, but he pissed me off by inspiring this pathetic painting by one really fucked up artist.
By spending an hour plus on the phone with Putin, which we found out about — as usual — from Russian media. Also as usual, apparently nobody else on the US side was privy to the conversation.
Two (sorry, Opal) items stand out in the mass of general dipshittery:[ul]
[li]While they did discuss the Mueller report, by all accounts the issue of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and their presumptive meddling in the 2020 election was not raised.[/li][li]CFSG accepted Putin’s assurance that Russia is not involved in Venezuela, thereby cutting the legs out from under his Secretary of State and National Security Adviser. Both of whom are assholes of the first water (particularly the latter), but in this case I feel they’re right and their boss is wrong.[/li][/ul]
“Russia is not involved in Venezuela” is the kind of thing that attempts to cause BSOD in working brains. Trump can believe it because he’s been in BSOD for years.
Not sure whether Der Fakher’s operating system is that well developed. Did CP/M have a BSOD?
Only if you ran out of kerosene for the CPU.
Or if the hamster went on a coffee break.
The tribal elders still talk about the day when DOS was given unto us from the Heavenly Gates. Around the fire, some claim to have heard a quiet and distant noise, like billions of dollars being sucked into the pocket of a greedy geek…
That looks like a rare example of Harley-Davidson’s oval-wheeled series.
Half Norman Rockwell, half George Lincoln Rockwell.
The thug is the “good guy” from the artist’s point of view.
THAT - - was beautiful, man.
Kaypro “portable” only weighed about ten pounds. Six inch screen, dual floppy drives, Motorola 8086. ran WordStar and BASIC. Back when a hard drive was twenty miles of bad road.
Sure, but that’s the Confederate point of view. And if you’re adopting the Confederate point of view, you’re rejecting the American one. You can’t be a Confederate and an American; the whole point of the Confederacy was that they saw themselves as a separate nation. Anyone who starts waving a Confederate flag is saying they no longer consider themselves an American citizen.
He got one detail right. There’s only one black guy in the crowd but they put him right up front so he could be seen.
No muslims? How very odd.
But that’s the point: in the minds of the Confederates they were just as much “the Americans” as the Union. They even named their new nation The Confederate States of America. Not that I agree or sympathize with the Confederacy for a millisecond, but I think understanding that reference may give some insight into how Trumpians view themselves. They view themselves as the real Americans, many of whom have ancestry dating back to the times of the Revolution and even predating that period. They may not necessarily reject diversity, but they reject the idea that they’re the ones who have to change to accommodate it. They got here first.
I very much doubt Trump could handle a bicycle let alone a 700lb motorcycle with a rider on the back.
I wonder if he can swim? Or open a can of Coke with out help.
