I’m sure all his followers think he would stop the Ukraine war satisfactorily just because he said he would. I wish he would just shut the fuck up. He’s a gigantic know-nothing.
I think a fair chunk of his supporters are of the ‘Russia was right to invade to protect themselves/remove the Nazis’ cohort, so he could end the war by withdrawing US support (which would cascade through the rest of NATO eventually), and the war would end, to much cheering from those folks.
One of the reasons that I think Putin made this horrific mess was he thought Trump would get re-elected and NATO would basically stand back and watch. Putin went ahead anyway, the ball was already rolling.

But, yes, the last Presidential candidate that I remember claiming to have a secret plan to end the war was:
- Full of shit. The war continued well into his second term.
- Widely regarded as the worst President since at least Andrew Jackson.
- Nevertheless, a statesman . . . compared to Trump

Individual 1 held his first campaign rally, in New Hampshire, last night. It was held in a high school auditorium.
He claimed that he carried New Hampshire in two elections. He did win the primaries, but lost the general election in 2016 and 2020.
