How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

You’re counting on bankruptcy?

Why do you think this? He’s already had to put $5 million is escrow because he appealed the first verdict. And if he plans on appealing this second verdict he’s either going to have to put the full amount into escrow or get a bond (if someone will underwrite it) otherwise Carrol can immediately move to seize Trump’s property. It wasn’t that long ago people were saying Trump would never get indicted and now it looks like he seriously might go to prison. His whole world is imploding and the only hope he has is to win the presidency.

And his legal problems are making it harder to get elected.

What’s a fella gonna do?!

He’ll have to really be a dictator if he thinks he has a chance of using the presidency to interfere with her collection efforts.

I love the idea that somebody could garnish the president’s wages.

ETA: Why, I’m old enough to remember when being on sound financial footing was considered a requirement to be president.

Unfortunately, I think his legal problems are making it easier for him to get elected. For one thing, he’s in the news every minute of every day.

Disagree. His persecution claims might fire up a certain sector of people but it’s turning off independents and it might hurt Republican turnout in general.

That has been the case since 2016, the only difference is that the news makes him look even worse than usual.

Tell Hillary Clinton that there’s no such thing as bad news coverage.

Hillary’s opponent didn’t have the Deep State weaponizing federal and local law enforcment and federal and local courts against her as The Only One Annointed by God Almighty to Save America does right now.

And if you think that’s not what the pubbie voters believe, well, welcome to Earth, tourist.

He can’t win with just the MAGA vote.

I desperately want you to be correct. So desperately.

Will Kennedy joining with libertarians draw off the independents?

Or the more sane republicans?

“Sane” Republicans? I think he’ll draw the crazy ones, the QANON crowd, the ones that think Trump betrayed them by getting vaccinated. Plus the QANONers have a thing for Kennedys, it’s central to some of their theories.

It’s true: Kennedy will get a lot of those people.

Unfortunately, he will also get a lot of extremely-low-information voters who were taught that The Kennedys helped bring about civil rights, and so (the low-info voters will reason), voting for this one will advance the interests of those traditionally less-empowered groups (non-white, basically).

I would bet that Kennedy will take a few votes from Trump (mainly the ones mad about Donald getting vaccinated). But he will take many, many, many more from Biden.

What little polling I’ve seen suggests that RFK hurts Trump as much or more than Biden.

It boggles the mind to think that the election could come down to saying, yes, it sure looks like he’s going to hurt Trump’s chances as much or more than Biden’s — but in which states?

Trump thinks that “accountability” is why he has CPAs.

In the sense that he tries to blame them for his business fraud, he’s probably correct.

I read a piece today by Phillips P. O’Brien, Professor of Strategic Studies, which called Trump the “pied piper of American decline

The author spoke about it on his personal site:

Its a phrase I love, because he leads his followers on a path which will greatly accelerate US decline, all while pretending he will make the US “Great Again”. His foreign policy positions are actually geared towards losing the US the support of those who want to be its friends (NATO-Taiwan, Japan, South Korea etc) to curry favor with Russia and China.

Any split is a good split, let him poach anyone who was thinking about voting Trump, and it’s all beneficial.

This tweet, where he says

And his sycophantic followers are actually believing it.
