As a totally random note, this was the film where Goldie Hawn first met Kurt Russell. She was a 23 year old dancer and he was a 17 year old kid actor. To be fair, though, they didn’t actually start dating until years later.
A flesh wound? I don’t know if there is or isn’t a God, but if ever I could believe that someone sold his sould to the Devil, it would be Donald Trump.
This is not a lament they he survived. Violence like this has no place in politics, or anywhere else, and I condemn it. Just pointing out that Trump is the luckiest son of a bitch on the planet.

I’m pissed at Trump for not stopping the death of that innocent bystander by catching that bullet.
Sadly, unlike the Rock Biter, Trump was not blessed with bigly, goodly, strongliest hands.
Remember Greg Stillson’s near-demise in The Dead Zone? Why couldn’t have Trump grabbed a baby out of the audience?

What’s pissed me off today is Tan the Convictman just got rewarded for appointing the incompetent flack Cannon. She just dismissed the documents case against him. Her blathering justification is, AFAICT, not actually based on the law, but rather on what she feels is best for her patron. And if that twerp does win the election this year, what will her reward be? I see an appointment as Attorney General. And if it looks like that won’t pass the Senate, then she’ll be appointed as Acting Attorney General.
I’m so fed up with that out of control political party cult.
One person was killed during the assassination attempt. Sure, there are nasty things on his social media I’m told, which paint the profile of a terrible MAGA racist. But this was still a man torn away from his wife and daughters.
Trump didn’t call the man’s family after the shooting. He didn’t visit the wounded in the hospital.
He went golfing.
The victim’s wife did get a call from President Biden, but she declined to talk to him because her husband “wouldn’t want her to”. And she’s still going to vote for Trump.
And, back to the title of the thread, that is one of the reasons I’m pissed off at Trump: he’s encouraged every bigoted, racist asshole to only care about winning for “their side” by encouraging all the hate he can. And his people love him for it.
He’s not just a symptom, he’s an accelerant. And he and his followers are damn likely to burn down the country while dancing with glee.
